Muken Underground Prison. Five months after Aizen incident.

How long has it been, Aizen thought. How long have I been down here? He lied in a cell bound in restraint ever since his trial. He was to stay here for twenty thousand years unable to die because of the immortality given to him. The only thing confirming his own existence was the row of dim lights that lined the hallway leading to his cell. He may have been there for a hundred years already. There was no way of knowing the truth. “I guess it doesn’t matter,” he concluded. “By the time I’m released, they’ll all be dead. Then not even Ichigo Kurosaki can stop me”. Aizen began to fall asleep. “I will have vengeance.”

“You’re a fool Sosuke Aizen,” a voice said. Aizen jerked awake. The voice sounded as if it came from everywhere at once. He began to look around for the source. There was no intercom on this level of the prison.  “Who’s there,” Aizen shouted. He began to hear footsteps from down the hall. They were getting closer. One by one, the dim lights went out until only the light in his cell remained. The voice spoke, “You took a century to set up your plan to kill the Soul King. You created an army of Arrancars. You fused yourself with the Hogyoku, and you still were defeated.” A figure stepped into the light. He was wearing a black kimono with a white undergarment. A katana was hanging from the left side of his waist. The man had long shaggy black hair that ran down to his shoulders with some covering his right eye. The color of the eye Aizen could see was red like blood. He appeared to be slightly taller than Aizen with a more muscular build. The man stood staring at him with a blank expression. “You obviously know nothing of real power,” the man said.

“You’re a soul reaper,” Aizen said. “And you’re a pitiful excuse for one who calls himself a transient being,” the soul reaper responded. This angered Aizen. He had never been called pitiful in his entire life. “I bet that you’re wondering why you were unable to sense my presence,” the Soul Reaper said. Aizen realized that he was right. He was unable to sense his spirit pressure.  “When I used to live here I would always experiment with my spirit pressure. I learned how to wipe my presence away completely. Couple that with an invisibility kido, I was able to get down here undetected. Even by you.” The soul reaper sat down in front of Aizen’s cell and crossed his legs still looking at him with that red eye. “Who are you?” Aizen finally asked.

“You may have heard of me before. The Head Captain spoke of me to you and the other captains. The soul reaper that nearly killed him with a power that rivaled Ryujin Jakka and its flames. Of course, he never told you what that power was, did he?” the soul reaper asked. A power that rivaled the Head Captain’s zanpakuto, Aizen thought. He remembered being told this story and about the soul reaper that the Head Captain fought. A fight that took place over one thousand years ago.  The power he used, however, was never mentioned. “What is this power you speak of,” he asked. The soul reaper chuckled. “It’s one that you are familiar with,” he replied. Aizen realized what he was talking about. The soul reaper smiled knowing that Aizen understood. “Did you think that Shinji Hirako and the others were the only ones?” he said. The soul reaper slowly raised his hand over his face. Then, black reiastu erupted from his hand and began to spread around his head. As the reiatsu dissipated, a white mask took its place. The lower jaw of the mask was stretched forward with the teeth slanted at an angle as the touched the upper teeth. On the forehead was a v-shaped crest that stretched toward the back of his head. On both sides of the head were diamond shaped spikes that face the back of his head. The hair that covered his right eye was moved back revealing that his right eye was just as red as the left. “Hollowfication,” Aizen said. He noticed the soul reapers eyes were the same color as before instead of changing yellow. “My name is Ranma Kurogami,” the soul reaper said. “I am the first Vizard.”
I decided to post a prologue entry. I think it does better at setting up the story.
