Mythics and Mercenaries: The Dark Ascendant Introduction In the middle of the twenty-first century a series of seismic events ravaged the Pacific faults and the ring of fire. Volcanoes, both undersea and terrestrial awoke, violent eruptions spewing vast flows of magma on land and at sea. Enormous clouds of smoke and ash filled the sky, blotting out the sun, placing the world in a perpetual twilight. More than a billion people perished, and it was believed that the end of the world was at hand. Salvation came in the form of six god-like beings of unknown origin, using their powers to clear the sky of ash, and then moved the American continents west until they collided with Asia, creating a single landmass. Their actions brought an end to the cataclysm, giving rise to a new age named Amersia, after the newly formed landmass. After the Cataclysm subsided many other changes to the world were made apparent. Magic, which was believed to exist only in fantasy, had become a reality.

The Last Quincy Epilogue
Mitsumiya District. Karakura Town. Five years after Restoration. Within the giant room beneath the run down shop of Kisuke Urahara, Rokuyo Tachibana was on the ground cross-legged. His attire had changed greatly since his conversion from Fullbringer to Quincy. He wore the clothing of a Sternritter white and blue in color. His open jacket was torn at the sleeves making his flaming skull tattoo visible. The jacket was worn over a blue jump suit and white chaps with a Quincy cross on the belt. He wore the goggles that were once the source of his Fullbring powers over his eyes. Rokuyo had a broken Zanpakuto in front of him and was arranging the pieces of the blade to put back together. He had acquired them in the Soul Society’s Zanpakuto graveyard during the yearly peace talks at the Seireitei. He was insulted that this particular Zanpakuto had been treated like this. But after five years he had found all of the pieces, and now he could carry out his plan. “Hear me,” Rokuyo started. “I

Thanatos growled and shook his head in disbelief of the new power that Czer had acquired. He charged the Quincy only to have his fist caught. Czer states that the Unstoppable can only be stopped by the Right Hand. With a squeeze Thanatos’ hand was broken. He broke free from Czer’s grip only to find that the Fallen was not activating. Once again the Almighty and the Fallen were negating one another again now that Czer had become Baldur. In an instant Czer was behind Thanatos holding his tail. He then stated that the Immovable can only be moved by the Left Hand, and swung him in a circle before sending him flying toward the ground. Aloft in the air, Czer summoned forth the broken Hoffnung and with the reishi in the air transformed it into a spear. Thanatos rose from the debris of his impact. With a rage filled scream he unleashed a dark purple beam of energy toward Czer who reflected it back at Thanatos spinning the spear in front of him. Having been consumed by his own attack Thanatos

The Last Quincy Final Arc Part 11
Both Czer and Thanatos continued their battle across the Soul Palace oblivious to the transformation that had been taking place. The Quincy continued to block Thanatos’ attacks with Hoffnung reflecting all damage back at the Lord of Tartarus. Regardless of what was done Thanatos would turn back time on his body undoing all damage done to him. Their fight threw them through buildings and led to the deaths of numerous divine soldiers. Then Thanatos landed a blow that shattered Hoffnung’s blade, obliterated his body, and sent Czer flying into the tallest structure in all the Soul Palace. Crashing through the wall the Quincy found himself in the throne room of the Soul King. He stared upon the majesty that was the armless and legless god encased in a prison of crystal. He attempted to heal the wounds dealt from Thanatos’ last blow only to find he couldn’t. The Lord of Tartarus entered through the hole in the wall thanking Czer for making his task easier with both the Quincy and the Soul

Later that night… The crescent moon hung in the sky lighting Karakura Town. Two figures stood atop of a building across the street from Urahara’s shop staring down at the wooden shrine-like building that looked out of place among the ones around it. They were the twin sons of the Lord and Guardian of El Dia, Ranma Kurogami. Both Genryusai and Shigekuni were identical in appearance resembling their father, but shared the same color hair, eyes, and skin as their mother Kosame Shihoin. They each had a short bladed Zanpakutos their sides, and wore Soul Reaper uniforms with reverse color schemes. Although both were over a thousand years old they each appeared to be twelve. “Have we been noticed Gen?” Shigekuni asked his brother who was observing the interior of the shop and its sleeping occupants with a Kido. “It seems that they haven’t,” Genryusai replied. “I found the one father said awakened. He looks a lot like us.” “Dad said his mom is a Shihoin so that would only make sense,” the

Czer began to get up his wounds healing as he did. Senjumaru ordered her Divine soldiers to surround Czer and Thanatos. As they drew closer to the Quincy, Ranma’s severed head shouted for Senjumaru to leave Czer alone or answer to him. The soldiers surrounding Thanatos charged him only to be sent flying with purple reishi blades in their chests. He congratulates Czer for lasting as long as he has and thanking Ranma for opening the way to the Soul King’s palace. Ranma states that Thanatos will be unable to defeat Czer as he is. To this Thanatos agrees and says that he has to become more than he is. He continues telling how long ago he had absorbed the legs of the Soul King before they had the chance to achieve sentience making them a permanent part of his soul. But because of that lack of sentience he couldn’t use their power. He turns to Czer and tells him how his current form was the one which he used when fighting the Four Kings one thousand years ago, but during his time as

The Last Quincy Final Arc part 9
From where the Sprenger Letzte had destroyed Blackheart a purple haze formed. When Seito questioned what it was Czer answered that it was Thanotos. All but Ranma were surprised by the Quincy’s words. He elaborates that killing Blackheart was only the first step. To restore the balance to the World of the Living the true form of the darkness must be beaten. The haze took on a humanoid shape until transforming completely into the Lord of Tartarus. He took a breath and with a smile thanked Czer for ending Blackheart’s life. Free from his bindings he can fulfill his purpose without any limitations. Steven says that he will send Thanotos back to Hell. To this Thanotos smiles sending five black needles toward five transcendent souls. When struck the five fall to their knees and vomit blood as a result of the needles’ effects on their body. While Czer and his friends are distracted Thanotos rushed the Quincy grabbing him by the neck and both disappeared into a tear in space that closes behind
